A Story About Dave

The last time I saw Dave was a BILLION years ago at one of our places in Hamilton. Ironically he was in town for a funeral. There were a few of us knee injured people in the room with Dave. He told us his story of how he injured his knee one time. Dave was walking along a street in whatever town he was living in at the time, when as he crossed the road he was blindsided by a car. Dave went down and the driver continued on his way. This annoyed Dave... greatly, so knowing that his leg wasn't working very well he grabbed a passerby, put his arm around their shoulder and said "Follow that car." I can't remember if he caught up with the car because he was demonstrating the whole human crutch thingy and all else was lost.

High School Reunion for the Fords

Our high school had its 50th anniversary this past weekend. Uncle Mike was from one of the earlier classes. It was a really good time

Richard John David Barry

David was born July 31, 1953. He was the seventh grandchild. Dave was in Alberta just about two years ago when our brother Sean passed away. It was great to see Dave and spend time with him. Somehow I knew it would be the last time we would see him. I kept in contact with him, he was always happy to chat. Dave's health was fragile and he was in and out of the hospital in the past year. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Stepanie, his five children, his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins by the dozens. At this time we don't have any details about the funeral. I will try to post some pics of Dave. I haven't posted pics to the blog for awhile. Take Care, love you all. Colleen & family
