I asked Loretta Speedling what actually happened and this was her reply. They had 23 inches of snow the day before the accident. They live on the same street as Christy. Anyway, they were driving down their street and slid the car flipped over three times, Megan was thrown from the car and it landed on top of her, Poor Jimmy and Elise, her 5yr. old, thought she was dead. All of the neighbors ran out of their houses, including Christy, and all of the guys picked the car up off of Megan, she punctured a lung. They were so lucky for having the snow storm, as it cushioned her and protected her body. She and the baby were airlifted to DC and both spent the night in hospital, Elise at Childrens, and Megan at Washington Hospita Center. It was truly a miracle!!! They are bruised and banged up, but no broken bones and thank God noone got killed!!!

My daughter took this shot with her cell. My parents sit there holding hands all the time. Love is grand after 58 years. Dad is getting better each day we feel.

I just read on Facebook that Megan and her family, I believe were in a car accident. Nikki wrote the following ...Jimmy was treated locally and released. Elise & Megan were air lifted out to DC - Elise is good but staying over night...Megan is banged up - possible broken wrist and a punctured lung that should heal on it's own and will stay the night but they all had a guardian angel with them this evening!!! Hi All Please keep my dad in your prayers today. He is in the hospital with a collapsed lung. They are also checking his heart as he came in with chest pain. I saw him and except that he is in pain he is holding up pretty well. We hope that he will be home for Christmas.

At last night's birthday party at Loretto's house,my father received some very nice gifts. But only Denis,Silvana,Maureen and i were thoughtfull enough to get him something original. We purchased a Goat on line thru "free the children" in his name for a family in Kenya. Im not sure if he was just "trying to get our goat" but he claims this is the first time anyone has purchased a live animal for him as a birthday present. Happy 86th birthday Dad.

My Dad has reached the ripe age of 86 today.I didn't have a good recent pic but this is what he looked like when he was shiny and new!Happy Birthday Dad!!See you next week!!!

There is posted on Facebook by Colleen Vennard the story that Brittany Marangoni wrote about the Fords. When was it first written? I thought it was at least a year ago but it includes details about Aunt Loretto passing. When did this masterpiece originally get published?

Nikki is doing GREAT!!!!!!! She is in the middle of her daily radiation treatments and has been told she is a Breast Cancer Survivor at this point. She has her reconstrution surgery scheduled for July and is really excitied about it. She is really open about talking about her Cancer and doesn't mind being asked about it. I tell you what....I have 2 very STRONG Sisters to have gone thru what they have this past year. The WHOLE Family is looking forward to this year ending and starting off 2010 CANCER FREE!!!!! Thank you all for praying and thinking about us we have needed it and feel very blessed to have such a LARGE & CARING Family here in the US and in Canada!

Loretto, could you please write on the Ford Blog that my mother is doing pretty good. She is eating good and still has a few one liners with her great sense of humor. She is amazing! All she takes is a vitamin. She is so physically healthy!!!
