My Dad and My Dog (Carter)

This is a photo I took on Christmas day of my Dad and my dog before they napped after Christmas brunch.

Washington area visit

We are thinking of stopping in Washington this summer on our way to Atlanta Ga. We Would love to see some Gallagher relatives and also do the touristy Washington thing. I have no idea of who lives where in relation to DC and who would be interested in housing 4 "Canadians", as Nicki or Kristi told me uncle Bernie always refered to all of us up here. We are thinking of the first week of July for 3 or 4 days. Now dont all respond at once. Please let me know if you "might" be interested. No whining from the lotus heads (British Columbians)

(Joe) Gallagher Grandkids' holiday pictures

It wasn't easy to get 5 kids (ages 7 down to 2 months) to sit nicely for pictures but we somehow managed a few good shots. You should remember Olivia (7), Anthony (3) - Nikki's kids Kameron (5 in a few days) and Nathan (1) - Lauren's children and our newest addition belongs to Michelle. She was unable to come to the reunion with us because she was so close to delivering. Carson Joseph was born September 6th.

Ask and you shall receive. Here is a video that shows how much our kids (Noah and Ella) loved the Sound of Music tour in Salzburg, Austria. Thanks to Grandma who bought them the Sound of Music Soundtrack that we played for 7 hours in the car from Salzburg to Zurich... So Long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, adieu...

Where has everyone gone?

I agree with you Robby one thumb, its as if nobody has anything interesting happening in their lives. A Canadian excuse is we haven't had a major holiday to have family pictures of, but the American family members have thanksgiving, which of coarse is a way bigger deal than it is in Canada. So where are the pictures? stories? Legends? Traditions? Come on, post something, we are desperate here!!

Kid Pics in Switzerland and Austria

Here are some pics of Amelia, Noah, Christopher and Ella. David took the picture of Noah playing with his wooden cow in front of the real cow, but I thought I couldn't wait for him to post it. There's a pic in here also of Noah and Amelia standing against their Great Grandfather's and Great-Great Grandfather's (Bochsler) House (2 generations) in Neu St. Johann Switzerland. -----Oh yeah, included are some big kids playing too. Paul's Stolen Pics

Hi, So many people gave me pictures or stored them on my laptop, so I'm just going to post my favourites whether I took them or not. I'll start with pictures around wedding time. One picture is of Mark's 'Polterabend' or stag night, where, in order to drink, you have to sell things to people in public. They dressed Mark up as a 'Mountie.' Here Mark is trying to sell Canadian flags to the Swiss Army. (Very risky....remember they have knives). On the same night is a pic of his brothers and new brother in law (Alain) in a Swiss Pub. My favourite pic is from a skit on his wedding night, when a bunch of people dressed as nuns came out parading Mark's pic on a pole. It was from Sister Act, 'I will follow Him.....He is my Destiny'. They were making fun of Sandra's devotion to Mark. There were two weddings....on friday night there was the Civil or legal wedding, and then on Saturday the church wedding. Observe Paul, Pat and David listening to Dave

Finally, some photos

Hi Fam! Sorry that this has taken so long. I still haven't transferred photos to this computer so I'll post mine later. In the meantime my Uncle Tom (on the Bochsler side) posted a bunch of pics at this site. Check them out here: View Album Enjoy!! By the way, the photo of the 4 little kids is of my kids (Noah and Ella) and Colleen's kids (Amelia and Christopher).

Wedding photos

Any of the Venturous back from The European Wedding yet? If you are can we see your photos? You could mail copies to each of us on the blog or you could post them on the blog itself (much more of a cost effective method). To cheap to fly

Mark and Sandra

Well by the time you read this we will have an official new member to the clan. Mark and Sandra are by now blissfully wedded. Today was the day they were hitchin' up in (insert long name) Switzerland. I know that my Dad, Joan,Pat and Amanda were going. I'm not sure who else was able to make it. I think most of the Boschler clan, but the rest is a mystery. No one was able to impart any PEARLS of wisdom so Mark you just wing it. Way to go big guy I hope you enjoy being married as much as I do (thats a good thing by the way and don't tell Tamara , it'll go to her head). Best wishes you two. Rob

Rob; Does the Twin look the Same?

Rob, Pat just spent, what seemed to be a ridiculous amount of time rubbing, cursing and polishing his candelabra - since it arrived resembling a grayish amount of steel. We sat and discussed many topics while he rubbed and cleaned this item to this silvery finish. Rye and some German Kuemmerling were consumed in what seemed like hours but in reality was only a minimum of one hour. Many conversations transpired about your mother spending days polishing all she owned. Does the one you have look like this? Love, TD

Re: Twelve Days to Go

Yeah, yeah - congrats to Mark watshisname and Sandra on their upcoming nuptials... But more importantly - Tom and I will be going to the Van Halen Concert in exactly 5 days (including today which is almost over)!!! ROCK ON DUDE!!! :P How exactly do you do devil-horns with a keyboard??? Big hugs and kisses, Mark

Twelve Days to Go

Well folks, Twelve days to go then Cousin Mark B. joins us in the blissfully wed department. Any pearls of wisdom to pass on? There are several in the family cook book. I do remember a wedding story from my sister's wedding. Uncle Mike was emcee and he was recounting how to him a marriage was supposed to be like his brother Ed's where there was never a cross word and things were discussed. Then he got married. Obviously he figured things out as he and Karen have been married for 35 years. I've been lucky enough to meet Sandra (Mark's fiancee) and it seems that Mark is a lucky man. I wish them both the best of days. Love Rob
