Kathleen confusion

Hello all,

Here I am, after being away for months in the Arctic (actually I was in Northern Manitoba but I can only accept the unbelievable cold if I pretend I'm back in the Arctic...)

Anyway, I sign into our wonderful family blog and what do I find?? Some huge confusion over someone named Kathleen...

Ah hem....

How soon one of the "younger cousins" is forgotten...

Naturally everyone remembers Kathy (or Kathleen) Diletti but how did you forget me??

My name is still Kathleen Bochsler (although I am married now) and as soon as I figure out how, I will update my profile to end the confusion for the family.

I tell you... you travel for a few years, come back and EVERYONE forgets you... sigh.... it's rough being a Kathleen in this family...

Hope that helps all of you out. Kathy Diletti is not having an affair with my husband Dave (I hope- but I am away a lot...) so all of those rumours can be put to rest..

I am "the other" Kathleen

You see I think this is where the confusion has arisen. Indeed you are the younger (and therefore, second) Kathleen; but by all other measures, you are the "original" Kathleen.

You see, my sister Kathy, and her husband Tom, are all "madly in love" and "cutesy wootsy". So Tom, likes to call Kathy by her full name Kathleen - It's like his "sweet-on-you" nickname (though it's not really a nickname at all), and truthfully, he may well be the only person who calls her that.

Now, given the seemingly complex nature of the blogosphere, Tom, in an enormous display of unconditional love, helped Kathy create her blogger account. And when you mix one part Tom, with one part Kathy, and a dash of love, Tom invariably turns to mush and starts to use Kathy's proper (or "sweet-on-you") name: Kathleen.

Hence we have two bloggers with your name.

So fear not my dear cousin, your family has not forgotten you for all your travels. Of course we might not remember what you look like, but we have certainly not forgotten your name.

Pat you are too much!! It's hard to believe but many people besides my huggie hubby call me Kathleen.
Mom wanted me called Kathleen from the start but the lady across the hall started calling me Kaffie and Rob was learning how to talk and so the name stuck. Yes I wrote Kaffie ..she couldn't pronounce "th".
So there fore I am the first Kathleen but to family memebers I am know as Kathy.
No I am not having an affair with Dave although he is a nice man I don't have time. Also he is too young for me. I like them over 40.
Now with that said I shall say good day,

I thought Tom was having the affair with David?
Poor David, new to the family and being used like some toy. Shame on all of you for abusing the poor lad.
David how do you keep track of all these people?
Kaffie - when you refer to your HUGGIE HUBBIE you ARE talking about ... Tom, right?

Kathleen B. we didn't forget you - you were the wonderful Kathleen we spoke to at Uncle John's memorial service....remember us? You did say you had an interest in joining the committee for planning a reunion didn't you? Hopefully Kathy/Kathleen is interested too...and many others.

Both Kathleen (my sister) and Tom travel a fair bit. Has anyone checked to see if the itineraries match? Just a thought...

Bochsler Family Update

Last week I tried to "encourage" my family to post to this blog. I sent them all TERRIBLE pictures of themselves and threatened to post them here if they didn't post their own. Although they all responded soon enough to my threat, nobody has updated this blog yet. To be fair, this sort of thing is easier for me to do so I'll give a general update on the family. I won't post those nasty pictures just yet, because I'm sure there are some of me floating around and I don't want to start a war. You may remember there are 6 kids, in order of age: Mark, Colleen, Paul, David, Kathleen & Kevin. Hearing it listed like that reminds me of being called for dinner. :) Mom and Dad (Maureen and Al) are both in good health and living in that big house you remember in Ancaster. The house and property itself would look very different to many of you as my Dad's projects have really transformed the place. There are no more big willow trees (and no more treehouse!) :( ...
