Robby Dean is Today's birthday boy!!!

Forty-three years ago today, at precisely 8:08 a.m., my dear brother Rob was born. And while he has a lot more gray and bit less thumb than he did when we were kids, he's still the best big brother I ever had.
(And i'm sure he'll confirm that for you if you ask, as he was always happy to remind me of it whenever he beat me good and then "let me live".)

So today is his day.

Happy birthday big bro - you have the straightest, most perfect teeth untouched by an orthodontist that I have ever seen.

Love Pat

Happy Birthday Robby!! You do have nice teeth but what always impressed me the most was your square nipples. Have they rounded out with age or can you still assemble ikea furniture without a screw driver?

Many people don't know this but "Rob" is actually short for Robertson , as in the Robertson screwdriver. In Canada we call the square headed screwdriver a Robertson screwdriver.Uncle Bob , being the handyman he is ,saw those square nipples on his first born and the rest is history. It could have been worse I suppose, they could have named him Phillip!Happy Birthday nipple boy!

The process of aging can be seen in two ways. Negatively - Ikea is out of my league now.
Positively - but I'm not bad with the plastic Home Depot Kids work benches.
Not bad for 39 (thanks Dan for the reminder, I kept putting me over 40, oi. )

Thank you one and all the love is OOZING in great cascades of lovely ooziness!

Ain't that the truth. It's tough being genetically linked to some of these reprobates but what can one do but slog through it. Plus whenever they show up at my house they bring beer.

Bochsler Family Update

Last week I tried to "encourage" my family to post to this blog. I sent them all TERRIBLE pictures of themselves and threatened to post them here if they didn't post their own. Although they all responded soon enough to my threat, nobody has updated this blog yet. To be fair, this sort of thing is easier for me to do so I'll give a general update on the family. I won't post those nasty pictures just yet, because I'm sure there are some of me floating around and I don't want to start a war. You may remember there are 6 kids, in order of age: Mark, Colleen, Paul, David, Kathleen & Kevin. Hearing it listed like that reminds me of being called for dinner. :) Mom and Dad (Maureen and Al) are both in good health and living in that big house you remember in Ancaster. The house and property itself would look very different to many of you as my Dad's projects have really transformed the place. There are no more big willow trees (and no more treehouse!) :( ...
