I heard Uncle Dan say at one point that our grandmothers name was Laurette, not Loretto. I wonder if that is true seeing this. He said that she changed it to Loretto on her own. I wonder if this is true.

Well the official story is that she went by the symbols *&% during her rock days but decided to change her name again when she met Grandad. What love will make you do!

Hi guys,
Today I learned how to get into the blog.
I want to correct the handwriting on that certificate of marriage. It is in my uncle Father Dans writing which was never very legible.
My mother was indeed Loretto....no G
Her mother was Catherine Hayes ...not Hagg.
I believe Uncle Dans comment on Laurette was because he went to the church and had a copy of her baptismal certificate. I believe it was also a typo. Those mistakes are easy to make. Her name is also spelled wrong in the cemetary. Her name ended in O not A

Bochsler Family Update

Although they all responded soon enough to my threat, nobody has updated this blog yet. To be fair, this sort of thing is easier for me to do so I'll give a general update on the family. I won't post those nasty pictures just yet, because I'm sure there are some of me floating around and I don't want to start a war. You may remember there are 6 kids, in order of age: Mark, Colleen, Paul, David, Kathleen & Kevin. Hearing it listed like that reminds me of being called for dinner. :) Mom and Dad (Maureen and Al) are both in good health and living in that big house you remember in Ancaster. The house and property itself would look very different to many of you as my Dad's projects have really transformed the place. There are no more big willow trees (and no more treehouse!) :( ...
