Family Picture - Who's who

Hi folks,
I tried to get in here to answer, at the time I saw the photo, but couldn’t figure out how to respond in the blog.
I DO know who all these people are . Between my aunt Margaret and Nance O’Brien I heard all about who was who many times.
This photograph was taken in 1888 . I want to start by saying that the older woman(2nd from the right) was my great grandmother (my dad's grandmother) her name was Mary (McMahon) Sullivan. She married James Sullivan. They were both born in Ireland and arrived in Hamilton Ont. in 1852. They were from Tralee in the County of Kerry. He died shortly before this picture was taken. They had 5 children and that’s who the rest of these people are.
Beginning on the left is my grandmother (my dad's Mother) who was born in 1866 and died in 1956. Her name was Catherine Sullivan referred to as Kitty. She married my grandfather John Ford. They had 7 children. James, Dan, Ed (my dad…father of the15), Mary Burjaw, Margaret, John Ambrose (Bud), and Hugh Wilfred (Wilf).
Next was her only brother Dan Sullivan, who was born in 1860 and died in 1931. He was also referred to as Dude Sullivan. He married Ellen Dwyer. She was called Ninnie. They had no children.
Next was Mary Sullivan. Born in 1868 and died at age of 92. She married James O’Brien .They had 5 children. Mary (Girlie), Arthur(Father Art), Frank, Edwin (Dr. Johnny), and Anna Catherine (Nance).
Next was Hannah Sullivan called Nana. She married Michael Broderick, they had no children.
Next was Margaret who was born in 1872. She died of TB in 1890, two years after this picture was taken. That apparently was the reason for the picture being taken as they knew she was dying.
I have more info on Dan Sullivan and the Ford family (my grandfather's brothers and sisters). I will send these later when I know what I’m doing.

Standing ovation for Aunt Maureen!! Clap, clap, clap Well done!! It's great to hear all of that again. I remembered just a bit of it while reading it. Nance use to talk over home make cookies. Just reading it brought back the warmth that I will always associate with the O'Brien's. Thank you Aunt Maureen for the history lesson and a huge from the past!

Pat was correct in saying this photo once was in the corktown hotel. The reason? Dan Sullivan used to live over the store. I guess it was temporarily put in the attic, but when the store was sold, they forget to take the picture.Al went in and rescued the photo for Nance. Since family(the Deans) took over the house, it seemed the right thing to do was to leave it there.
Another note if interest.....the corktown house has been renamed and it is now called non other than Dan Sullivans
