Tomorrow would have been our dad's 81'st birthday! As of May 22nd he has been missed for 17 years! If anyone has any funny stories please let them rip!

I always enjoyed your Dads humour , he had me in tears many times ,usually with his under the breath comments .One vague memory (and most of them are these days) wasnt as under the breath has he may have thought.It was one of those wonderful dinner at Aunt Maureen and Uncle Al's the place was packed.Dinner was over , a row of uncles sitting on the couch , mouths open, snoring.Yes fond memories.... I somehow was able to sit at the "adult table", must have sneaked by security .A priest was there that wasn't known by all, someone asked him where he was from ,, he replied Newfoundland.From the room of snoring Uncles came a grunt and Uncle Jack say "Oh God , a bloody Newfie'! and then silence ,no snoring ,just silence.I had to leave the room.
Another time I was sitting next to Jack at the convent, It was Aunt Millies 25th anniversary I believe.It was extremely hot and people were fainting left and right.After the third or so person fainted , Uncle Jack leans over and says " You know , this is my first time in a Nun Factory , they put on a good show"!
He was a great guy ,I miss him as well.

We saw a lot of your Mom and Dad and I always enjoyed them. I particularly remember your Dad following many questions with: "Is the Pope catholic? Does the bear go jobby in the woods?" Even as I type this, it still makes me laugh. I miss your parents and I know my parents do. My dad did a nice little tribute to Uncle Jack during his speech at my wedding (June 1, 1991). I will get my techie husband to put a clip of it on the blog (if that's even possible).

That would be great Deb! I was at your weeding, it was soon after dad passed and I remember getting vey emotional when your dad did that tribute. It was great to see you last year, you haven't changed a bit!

Your mom and dad were great fun. I always enjoyed being with them. I remember many times since his death, your dad would be brought up in conversation usually regarding something funny he said. I can't believe its been 17 years! I turned 36 the day of his funeral! Wow I feel even older now.
