SCAR Project photos up on FB

Many of you know that I traveled up to NYC a few months ago to participate in a photo project of young women affected by breast cancer. I had been waiting and waiting for the pictures to go up in the gallery and had no idea that the photographer had created a FB page where my photo is featured in the album :) Here is the link to his fan page:

I also wanted to let you guys know about my "Tribe" - necklaces are still available for ordering - you can see it up close in my FB profile page :) Here is the link:

Nikki,
What an awesome project, what courage you guys have!
I am going to be doing a 220 mile (3 day) "Tour de Pink" next October (2011) to raise funds for the Young Survivors Coalition :) You'll have to give me some training tips Kevin! I just had surgery 7 weeks ago but got back into the gym last week and did 60 minute spin class followed by 30 minutes of core work M-W-F = )

I talked to the people on the Tribe page, they don't ship to Canada but Lauren has offered to receive Paypal payments, she will order them and mail them to Canada for anyone that would like one :)
oh and PS, The SCAR Project exhibition will open October 14th at the OpenHouse Gallery in NYC. A book will also be available. More details will be posted in the very near future. (on FaceBook)

"I have been working on The SCAR Project for over three years. Needless to say I am very excited . . . and VERY proud of all the SCAR subjects. Thank you... all for your support. David Jay x"

Bochsler Family Update

Last week I tried to "encourage" my family to post to this blog. I sent them all TERRIBLE pictures of themselves and threatened to post them here if they didn't post their own. Although they all responded soon enough to my threat, nobody has updated this blog yet. To be fair, this sort of thing is easier for me to do so I'll give a general update on the family. I won't post those nasty pictures just yet, because I'm sure there are some of me floating around and I don't want to start a war. You may remember there are 6 kids, in order of age: Mark, Colleen, Paul, David, Kathleen & Kevin. Hearing it listed like that reminds me of being called for dinner. :) Mom and Dad (Maureen and Al) are both in good health and living in that big house you remember in Ancaster. The house and property itself would look very different to many of you as my Dad's projects have really transformed the place. There are no more big willow trees (and no more treehouse!) :( ...
