Aged Family Photo

Since I am in posession of this fine piece of Ford history I should probably chime in... My mom had told me at least a half-dozen times who she thought the people in the photograph were. It was impressive really, as she was able to name every one of those perfectly-posed, sepia-toned ancestors . But I can't remember anything she said. Or at least I can remember very very little of what she said. So while I'm sure I could easily fill a room with everything I've forgotten about this picture, I would struggle to fill even a tiny web-based text box with the things I do remember. So watch me struggle: The picture once hung on the walls at the Corktown Tavern until my mom or Uncle Al or some other relative heard it was there. It turns out the Corktown Tavern in Hamilton was once Cork Town’s General store owned by none other than Dan Sullivan - a relative of the O’Brian’s and a man the locals called “The Mayor of Cork Town”. Apparently Dan Sullivan used to help cover the costs for...

Ok Deb , Who are these people?

Noah the Chinaman

Hi Guys, Chinese New Year is fast approaching and it's a really big deal here in Singapore. This year will be the "Year of the Rat". That's my year! If you're born in 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996 you're also a RAT. They are the most clever of all the zodiac animals don't cha know! They also have a tendancy to smell. Here's a photo of Noah dressed up outside of our condo and ready to go to school. David

The Seniors

Jim and I drove my parents up to Aunt Jackie and Uncle Bern's the other night for a dinner party. We only stayed for a drink then left to join friends for dinner. We came back about 3 hours later to pick them up. Uncle Bob and Joan were there as well as Nora and Rudy, Mike and Karen and Uncle Dan. Everyone had a good time and of course Aunt Jackie made a nice dinner. I discovered that this year (October)Uncle Mike will officially be a senior citizen! Dad said Uncle Rudy seemed good. He is still able to drive which I am sure helps keep his spirits up. I only saw them briefly but except that he was attached to oxygen, he looked good to me.
