I'm pretty sure his real name was Nie. By the end of the day with nine kids thats all Aunt Catherine could say "good night...nie.. snore."
Everyone was soooo suited up as well. Hairdos and suits my how styles have changed.
I know Aunt Millie liked the change from the floating tent to clothes that would move when she did.

What a great picture that was. I especially like my Elvis curl. It brings back memories of when all of our parents were so young. I think Aunt Catherine would have been about 42 therefore Uncle Mike would have been about 22! I remember some things about that day. There were so many babies. I remember it being loud but fun with lots of laughing. I remember it was a big deal that all the Gallaghers and Berrys(Barrys?) were there together. It was a long trip for both families.

Now I do not remember this picture being taken but I do remember one that Uncle Al took at Granddaddy's. I remember running in and out of the Gallagher's picture. The older kids were grabbing at me,realizing later on in life they were trying to get me out of the picture. I thought they all loved me and were playing with me. I do remember alot of "Kathleen Loretta Dean.. get out of there." I really liked the sound of my name. Kind of musical!

Kevin,
My sister Loretta has asked if she could have a copy of the original of all the cousins by the dozens! That was part of our nightly prayer when we were little "bless our cousins by the dozens"!
I wouldn't mind a copy as well, of all the pics you posted. Is there some way we could get a clear copy off the net? Let me know,
Colleen

I took a black and white photo that was sent to me by email, printed it on regular typing paper. It turned out sorta brownish/grey but it made it look old. I bought a frame to go with it and have had it hanging in my livingroom for about 5 years. It looks great! Try it with these pictures and see what you end up with.

I scanned thse pics at Walmart. It's quite cheap and easy to do. If we get some more from others that would be great, they seem to be popular.Walmart also give you a disc so bring lots of photo's to get your moneys worth.I would be happy to send a copy as an attachement to whoever wants it, I will just need your emails.Colleen ,Ill try to send one on facebook if I can figure it out.

Nice profile Colleen , I guess you've always been camera shy!And why does Grandaddy seem to be the only one looking AT the camera?
I can help with the Gallaghers. Front row is Joe, and Kevin is right behind him. Terry is sort of in the middle with the cheesy smile. Timmy is directly on HIS left. Danny is further to the right with the checkered jacket.

My mom (Aunt Maureen) says that the picture was taken at Christmas in 1965 (Pat Ford is newborn) at Robert's Restaurant at King St. E in Hamilton. My mom says she organized it, and my father took the picture as they were dating, and were married in June 66.

Well that would explain Mark's abscense.

Bochsler Family Update

Last week I tried to "encourage" my family to post to this blog. I sent them all TERRIBLE pictures of themselves and threatened to post them here if they didn't post their own. Although they all responded soon enough to my threat, nobody has updated this blog yet. To be fair, this sort of thing is easier for me to do so I'll give a general update on the family. I won't post those nasty pictures just yet, because I'm sure there are some of me floating around and I don't want to start a war. You may remember there are 6 kids, in order of age: Mark, Colleen, Paul, David, Kathleen & Kevin. Hearing it listed like that reminds me of being called for dinner. :) Mom and Dad (Maureen and Al) are both in good health and living in that big house you remember in Ancaster. The house and property itself would look very different to many of you as my Dad's projects have really transformed the place. There are no more big willow trees (and no more treehouse!) :(
