Ford Gallagher Family Update

Hi everybody. This is Christy (Gallagher) Randall. I finally figured out how to do this blog thing. I guess I'll give the quick update like Nikki did. Well, my parents and all 4 kids live in Southern Maryland now. Mom and Dad live about a mile away from each other, and are doing well. My dad struggles with his health still, but he's a fighter. He is actually in the hospital right now, and has been for about a week, but I'll hopefully be busting him out of there tomorrow. My husband Robert and I have 2 boys. Kyle is 9 and Kevin is 6 AND A HALF, as he always reminds me. We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary in June in Las Vegas. That was fun!! Robert runs a construction company, and I am a stay at home mom. Our boys are beautiful and fun and keep us very busy. They play football, baseball, and basketball depending on the season.
Next comes Ryan. He is married to Jennifer and they have Samantha who just turned 1 this month. She is the first red head in our immediate family! (besides my mom) They live about 10 minutes from me so we see each other often. Ryan runs his own fiber-optic cable company, and Jen works for the P.G. County Court System.
Now Megan. She is married to Jimmy and they have 2 beautiful daughters. Hailey is 8 and Elise is 3 going on 25!! Hailey loves everything girly and Elise loves to make us laugh with her hysterical personality. Megan is an insurance agent for State Farm and Jimmy is an electrician.
And finally Katie. She is the baby, just turned 23. She lives at home with my mom and works with Megan at State Farm. She graduated from college last December with a B.A. in Psychology, and we were very proud!! She's just not sure what she's going to do with that degree yet!
Well, I've rambled on. That's our story. I miss everybody. I would love to bring my boys up. Someone needs to have a big reunion. I promised my Grandma I would always keep in touch with "the Canadians" as we call you. I haven't been keeping my promise:( Will write again with some stories.

Hi Christy
You did a great job on your family update.I havent yet posted one for my family, but the pressure is on.I really enjoyed how you mentioned about "keeping in touch with the Canadians". As for Family reunions, my sister Mary hosts a party every summer. I, like everyone else up here have great memories of "going to see the Gallaghers" and would love to go down again to see everyone. Hope all the Gallaghers are well, take care and happy blogging

Hi Christy! Great to hear from you. Great update! I'll post one for my immediate family and give my siblings a chance to post their own. If they don't, I'll be forced to say whatever I want about them.

I've heard talk about a "massive ford reunion" this August. Don't think I'll be able to make it there from Singapore but we'll see!

Bochsler Family Update

Last week I tried to "encourage" my family to post to this blog. I sent them all TERRIBLE pictures of themselves and threatened to post them here if they didn't post their own. Although they all responded soon enough to my threat, nobody has updated this blog yet. To be fair, this sort of thing is easier for me to do so I'll give a general update on the family. I won't post those nasty pictures just yet, because I'm sure there are some of me floating around and I don't want to start a war. You may remember there are 6 kids, in order of age: Mark, Colleen, Paul, David, Kathleen & Kevin. Hearing it listed like that reminds me of being called for dinner. :) Mom and Dad (Maureen and Al) are both in good health and living in that big house you remember in Ancaster. The house and property itself would look very different to many of you as my Dad's projects have really transformed the place. There are no more big willow trees (and no more treehouse!) :( ...

Remembering Sean

The remaining Barrys. This picture was taken at Sean's funeral. Sean's absence is definitely felt. The last time I saw Sean, was about a year ago, the end of March '06. My husband, Brian and I showed up unannounced at his place and he graciously entertained us. If he had other plans, he never mentioned them. My brother, Brian has a pub in Camrose, AB. Sean apparently would stop in daily and drink coffee, wanting to stay in touch. Brian had a new year's eve party a couple of month previous, so I asked Sean if he'd gone. He said no, he'd quit drinking and realized that a new years eve party would probably not be conducive to achieving his goals. He'd also recently quit smoking. I remember thinking that was a lot to give up all at once, but of course didn't want to say anything to discourage him. Sean also had a dream to buy himself all new camping gear and go on a camping trip. This he did at the end of the summer. After achieving his goals, his heart gave...
