The Mathews Family Update

Jackie and Bernie celebrated 51 years of marriage in September so it looks like they're going to make a go of it. They are both in fairly good health and keeping active.

Bernie is working for the City of Hamilton in the Public Works Department. He is still as witty as ever and is the very lovable "Uncle Boon".

Brian and Louise were married on October 14, 2006. (Brian's wife Susan passed away suddenly in August 2004.) Brian works for Canada Post and Louise is employed with the Hamilton Public Library. They live on Hamilton mountain. They are enjoying their grandson. Jason (Susan's son) and his wife Amanda have one son, Xander,1.

Tim and Cindy welcomed their fifth daughter, Shantel in February 2006. Tim's daughter Krystal is now 13. Cindy has three daughters Crystal, 19, Lacey, 18 and Yvonne, 10. Tim has been working at Stelco close to 30 years. Cindy is currently on maternity leave. They, too, live on Hamilton mountain.

At least a couple of Sundays a month we can all be found around the dining room table at 122 Fernwood. It keeps us close (literally!). My mom can still feed a dozen or so people with little sweat and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, as its always been. We're very blessed.

Bochsler Family Update

I won't post those nasty pictures just yet, because I'm sure there are some of me floating around and I don't want to start a war. You may remember there are 6 kids, in order of age: Mark, Colleen, Paul, David, Kathleen & Kevin. Hearing it listed like that reminds me of being called for dinner. :) Mom and Dad (Maureen and Al) are both in good health and living in that big house you remember in Ancaster. The house and property itself would look very different to many of you as my Dad's projects have really transformed the place. There are no more big willow trees (and no more treehouse!) :( ...
