Kathy Diletti's birthday

I was just thinking that i'm really the worst person in the world to be posting notices about people's birthdays. As a kid I committed 6 to memory: mine, Mom's, Dad's, Rob's, Kathy's, and the baby Jesus' (that birthday, like my own, was worth remembering). So now that i'm practically grown, if I happen to remember a birthday outside of those 6 it's sheer luck.

So today it's easy. Because today is my sister Kathy's birthday.

Of course everyone knows Kathy, but not everyone may know that she's the heart and soul of the Dean family. Or that she inherited my mother's warm and loving nature, brilliant sense of humour, and penchant for squirreling away recipe clippings from the paper.

Kathy - here's to you and your heart, soul, laugh, and recipe collection. Remember: you're in my top 6, somewhere between me and Jesus.

Hapy birthday!

Happy birthday to the queen of Smithville. A great lady who is always laughing, even while driving inept, unkind priests out of Smithville who were foolish enough to mess with Kathy Dean Diletti. By the way you drove that priest out of your parish and right into mine, thanks. He is gone from here now too. Happy birthday and pardon my language but have a darn fine day

Well Pat you got a tear happening in my eye. Most beautiful.
Happy Birthday Kathy.
Wow, somewhere between Pat and Jesus.
Happy 42nd my dear friend!
Hopefully you did something special today like sleep in til 7am! We'll get together soon for the traditional "sometime after your birthday" celebration.
Those were mighty kind words from your little brother - I'm thinkin he wants you to watch his kids for the weekend! Just kidding - we all know you're a great sister.
Love ya.

As the court jester and head bottle washer to the queen, I can honestly say that many and possibly all residents know of her. In the short five years, she has ostracized one priest, kept numerous teachers gainfully employed, remove secretaries that did not know there place, beat past chair person’s in landslide victories and had one husband removed from Canada 2 weeks out of every month. Is she tenacious? You bet your ass! Does she demonstrate her mother’s qualities? You bet ass she does.

She’s called upon by many for help & guidance and is hugged by all who meet her. She was the first person I met that gets hugs from Teachers before and after parent interviews and was referred to by my German colleagues as the woman who gave the best hugs. She is my best friend, my colleague, my sole mate and my lover……Happy Birthday kiddo.

Bochsler Family Update

Last week I tried to "encourage" my family to post to this blog. I sent them all TERRIBLE pictures of themselves and threatened to post them here if they didn't post their own. Although they all responded soon enough to my threat, nobody has updated this blog yet. To be fair, this sort of thing is easier for me to do so I'll give a general update on the family. I won't post those nasty pictures just yet, because I'm sure there are some of me floating around and I don't want to start a war. You may remember there are 6 kids, in order of age: Mark, Colleen, Paul, David, Kathleen & Kevin. Hearing it listed like that reminds me of being called for dinner. :) Mom and Dad (Maureen and Al) are both in good health and living in that big house you remember in Ancaster. The house and property itself would look very different to many of you as my Dad's projects have really transformed the place. There are no more big willow trees (and no more treehouse!) :( ...
