Noah the Chinaman

Hi Guys,

Chinese New Year is fast approaching and it's a really big deal here in Singapore. This year will be the "Year of the Rat". That's my year! If you're born in 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996 you're also a RAT. They are the most clever of all the zodiac animals don't cha know! They also have a tendancy to smell.

Here's a photo of Noah dressed up outside of our condo and ready to go to school.

Noah looks great in his Chinese gear complete with Crocs! It is interesting to find out about the 'rat'. We have a 1996 model of our own

We of the 1952, 1964 ,1986, etc. don't really exist as we are DRAGONS of FEROCITY, GRRRR. Since we don't exist (well when we were kids we used to go to the Aero Chinese restaurant in Hamilton with Grandma and we saw drawings of dragons and I never saw ANY dragon look like them in any zoo so they don't exist) you do not need to fear our FEROCITY.
Careful of the RABBITS, Big teeth you know.
Can Noah play any traditional Chinese instruments yet? Don't let him do the nasal singing thing because over here he could only get a job with a country and western band. EEEEK!

Bochsler Family Update

Last week I tried to "encourage" my family to post to this blog. I sent them all TERRIBLE pictures of themselves and threatened to post them here if they didn't post their own. Although they all responded soon enough to my threat, nobody has updated this blog yet. To be fair, this sort of thing is easier for me to do so I'll give a general update on the family. I won't post those nasty pictures just yet, because I'm sure there are some of me floating around and I don't want to start a war. You may remember there are 6 kids, in order of age: Mark, Colleen, Paul, David, Kathleen & Kevin. Hearing it listed like that reminds me of being called for dinner. :) Mom and Dad (Maureen and Al) are both in good health and living in that big house you remember in Ancaster. The house and property itself would look very different to many of you as my Dad's projects have really transformed the place. There are no more big willow trees (and no more treehouse!) :( ...
