This is very very cool. I was in a finance meeting here in Singapore recently where the subject was microfinancing. According to the bankers in the room, the default rate of individuals is lower than the average in America. Most defaults seem to stem from the abuse of funds by the organizations and/or governments themselves. After looking at the defaulted loans on the KIVA site, I couldn't find one that was caused by the individual but they all seemed to be from the NGO managing the funds.

I think it's a great site, great cause and will try it out. Thanks for sharing!
